Wondering why the traffic has to back up on Regatta Drive during school pickup times? Cars have nowhere to park on the side and block the street so no one can drive through because of heavy traffic both directions.

The police tell me they don’t want to ticket parents waiting to pick up their children. They also said it was the responsibility of the city and the school district and when I contacted the city, wondering why their recent street work didn’t allow more room in the shoulder I received no response.

Any thoughts?
