The Coupeville High School boys basketball team found that out at Sultan Friday, Jan. 31, losing 79-67.

The Wolves outscored the Turks 52-48 over the first, third and fourth quarters, but the second quarter, that was another story.

Sultan racked up an impressive 31 points to 15 for Coupeville in the second period, and that was enough to overcome the Wolves’ three-quarters advantage.

Aaron Trumbull added six and Matt Shank two.

Giovanni Williams topped Sultan (7-4, 10-7) with 25 points and 12 rebounds.

The Wolves finish up the season at 6:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at Granite Falls (5-6, 8-9).
