Comcast TV ads that state, “up to 250 channels,” are false and misleading advertising. It’s not available to Whidbey Island cable subscribers, yet they show the promo ads here.
There are 129 channels, which 30 are DMX (music audio only), 8 are PPV (pay per view) and only 91 channels are actually true TV entertainment channels. Not nearly the variety of channels Comcast insinuates in their ads.
Twenty-plus channels have infomercials, consumer products and paid programming ads airing at the same time slots, which reduces our TV entertainment choices offered, to approximately 71 channels. Also, who benefits financially from those ads? A cable representative suggested the local government does and also sets the amount of ads shown.
Comcast ads state, “we have to earn their trust!” Why don’t they start being truthful and straight forward and quit “sugar coating” the services actually offered. Personally, I feel Comcast is being very deceptive in their advertising!
They are the only cable company in town and they certainly act like it.
