United Way campaign awards announced, new officers elected

Outstanding Employee Giving: Oak Harbor School Employees, who increased their United Way giving 23 percent over last year.

Outstanding Corporate Support: Pacific Northwest Bank, tops its local support, and Whidbey Island Bank.

Outstanding Corporate Support: The Boeing Company, best off-island contributor.

Other Outstanding Employee Campaigns: Island County employees, Pacific Northwest Bank, Coupeville School District, Boeing employees.

New officers

United Way of Whidbey Island elected new officers at its annual meeting. Rosemary Toft will be president for 2002; Lauren Pool, vice president for the campaign; Steve Guilliford, vice president for allocations; Ray Haman, vice president for marketing; Sandy Overton, secretary; and Jo Balda, treasurer.
