Unity Fellowship celebrates Black History Month

Oak Harbor is celebrating Black History Month with an event at Mission Ministry Faith Center on Sunday, Feb. 19.

The event is being put on by the Unity Fellowship, a group of Whidbey Island churches. The event starts at 3:30 p.m. There will be singing, dancing, worship and people will be wearing different types of African clothing.

“One of my key points is we’ve just got to learn to do love,” said Pastor Fannie Dean of Mission Ministry Faith Center. “Because love is something that we all need, no matter what race we are. Everybody needs love.”

“We are inviting everyone to come and participate this Sunday,” Dean said.
