The new Whidbey Volleyball Club has scheduled a pair of parent/player meetings to answer any questions before team tryouts begin.
The first meeting is 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14, at the Coupeville High School gym. The second is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, at Oak Harbor High School’s Student Union Building.
The Whidbey Volleyball Club is a nonprofit organization open to ages 10-18.
“We are a new club with experienced coaches providing an opportunity for Whidbey Island athletes to develop volleyball skills and to compete in a setting that encourages excellence in individual and team achievement,” Katelyn Posego, club director, said.
The club is a member of the Puget Sound Region of USA Junior Volleyball.
The season begins with tryouts Nov. 20 and runs through the spring.
The tryouts are 1:30-3:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 20, at Oak Harbor High School. Registration begins at 12:30 p.m.
