NWTA offers soccer camps
The Northwest Training Academy is offering a series of summer soccer camps that will allow players to fine-tune their soccer skills or help beginners be better prepared for the upcoming season.
When playing on a team and only practicing twice a week, coaches don’t have time to help you fine tune players’ skills, that is where NorthWest Training Academy can help. NorthWest Training Academy is a local company on Whidbey Island. That is why we can offer the same if not better products for half the price.
All of the camps will be conducted at Fort Nugent Park in Oak Harbor.
The Soccer camp is Aug. 4 to 7 at a cost of $55 per player.
This camp is for everyone of any and all skill levels. There will be two separate sessions run for this camp and there are 10 spots left in each session.
Session 1 — 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.
Session 2 — 5 to 6:15 p.m.
The Goalkeeper I camp is Aug. 11 to 13 at a cost of $55.

Coaches needed for OHYFL
Want to have some fun this fall teaching young players the ins and outs of football?
The Oak Harbor Youth Football League is in need of coaches for the fall season.
Right now, there is an opening for a pee-wee coach for players 6 to 8, and also for a junior coach for 11 and 12-year-olds.
Anyone interested in helping out should call league president Mark Schroeder at 632-8416.
The league will probably be adding a senior team as well, so there could be the need for another coach for 13 and 14-year-old players.

Justin Ronning, physical education teacher at Crescent Harbor Elementary School, is hosting a “Get Fit Summer” PE camp from 9 a.m. to noon July 21 to 25 at the school.
