The theme of this year’s Whidbey Telecom directory-cover contest is “What brings you happiness?” the company said in a prepared release.

Any medium and style may be used to depict “what inspires you to enjoy life in this area,” the release said.

Artwork or photographs may be submitted at the company’s customer-care center, 1651 Main Street in Freeland, through 5 p.m. Friday, July 15. The winner will receive $500, and the winning work will be featured on the cover of about 15,000 telephone directories.

Entries must have been created after May 31, 2015, and those 18 and over may enter.
