Oak Harbor High School’s Wildcat TV is temporarily signing off the air Thursday, Aug. 6.

Ongoing construction for the high school’s modernization project requires the electrical and fiber-otpic feeds to the television equipment be shut down. They will be moved to the new Career and Technical building.

“The blackout is only temporary but it may take several days for the service to be reconnected,” video production teacher Chris Douthitt said.

Wildcat TV has been broadcasting repeats of concerts and graduation activities throughout the summer.

It can be seen across Whidbey Island on Comcast Cable Channel 21.

When the station returns to the air, it will feature all new, student-produced programming.
