In the team standings, the Coupeville girls finished second to South Whidbey 71.5-42; Granite Falls finished third with 36.5.

Granite Falls took the boys meet over the host Falcons and Coupeville 79-39-35.

Anna Bailey, Marisa Etzell, Rachel Wenzel and Jai’Lysa Hoskins won the 4×100 relay (57.29); Grace LaPoint, Bailey, Etzell and Hoskins captured the 4×200 (1:56.38); and LaPoint, Etzell, Bailey and Cassidi Rosenkrance grabbed the 4×400 (4:34.12).

Hoskins also won two individual events (100, 13.93; high jump, 4-06),  LaPoint won the javelin (93-07) and Rosenkrance won the 300 hurdles (55.33).

Mitch Pelroy, Larry Hurlburt, Matt Hampton and Sam Landau finished first in the 4×400 relay (3:48.41). Members of the winning 4×100 team (49.69) were not listed in the results.

Coach Randy King changed things up in some events, and Pelroy won an event he usually doesn’t compete in, the 300 hurdles (44.73).

Next the Wolves take part in the Casecade Conference championships at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, and Friday, May 11, at Cedarcrest.
