Cascade Christian clipped Coupeville 13-0 in five innings.

The Olympic League 1A champion Wolves will now need to win two straight games to earn a berth into the regional tournament.

Coupeville (10-11) faces Seattle Christian (11-9) at 4 p.m. Thursday, May 12, at Charles Wright in a loser-out game. If the Wolves win, they square off with the loser of Vashon Island (15-4) and Cascade Christian (11-6) at noon Saturday at Curtis for second place.

Cascade Christian scored all of its runs in two innings, beginning the romp with seven in the second. A single and error got things started against Coupeville pitcher Julian Welling. After an out, four straight hits, an error and a walk followed before the Wolves registered the second out.

In the fourth, the Cougars tallied six more runs behind three hits, four walks and three errors.

Nick Etzell pitched in relief, retiring four of five batters he faced.

Cascade Christian pitcher Austin Carder limited Coupeville to two hits, singles by CJ Smith and Kory Score. He struck out four and walked three.
