Four individuals and four relay teams from Coupeville High School qualified for the tri-district track meet after qualifying at the district meet at Lynden Christian High School Friday, May 10.

The district finals are Thursday and Saturday, May 16 and 18, at King’s High School.

Madison Tisa-McPhee ran to wins in the 100 hurdles (16.26) and 300 hurdles (48.31) to pace the Wolves at district.

Makana Stone placed second in the 200 (26.95), as the top five in each event earned tri-district berths.

For the boys, Brandon Kelley finished third in the 300 hurdles (44.87), and Josiah Campbell placed fourth in the 100 (11.69) and fifth in the triple jump (37-03).

Tisa-McPhee joined Marisa Etzell, Jai’Lysa Hoskins and Sylvia Hurlburt to grab third in the girls 4×200 relay (1:48.97), and teamed with Stone, Hoskins and Etzell to finish fifth in the 4×100 (52.17).

Stone, Etzell, Hurlburt and Kirsten Pelroy were fifth in the 4×400 (4:14.98).

Campbell, Latham Kelley, Jared Helmstadter and Sam Landau earned fifth in the boys 4×100 (46.43).

For the girls, Rachel Wenzel threw to seventh in the javelin (87-11), while Hurlburt (200, 28.26) and Pelroy (400, 1:07.16) picked up eighths.

Heni Barnes placed 12th in the shot (28-00.25) and 16th in the discus (69-06).

Erin Rosenkranz finished 17th in the 1,600 (6:11.11). She earlier placed 11th in the 3,200 (13:17.3) in the only final contested by a Coupeville athlete Wednesday.

For the boys, Nick Streubel placed ninth in the shot put (43-05) and 11th in the discus (113-02), two spots ahead of Carson Risner (107-08).

Matthew Hampton was 10th in the 3,200 (10:50.61) and teamed with Landau and the Kelleys to earn seventh in the 4×400 (3:45.63).
