Bouncing back from a tough overtime loss earlier in the week, the Coupeville High School soccer team drilled Forks 4-0 Saturday, March 28, at Mickey Clark Field.

The Coupeville offense is picking up. The Wolves were blanked in their first three matches, then scored twice in the 3-2 heartbreaker to Cascade Christian Wednesday.

Saturday, the Coupeville offense shifted into high gear.

Abraham Leyva Elenes, who scored both goals against Cascade Christian, scored two more against Forks, one in each half.

The other goals came from Ryan Freeman and Joel Walstad.

Walstad pulled double duty. He started in the goal for the Wolves and teamed with Connor McCormick, who played in the second half, for the shutout.

Coupeville (1-4) goes to Vashon Island for a noon match Saturday, April 11, and then begins Olympic League play at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, April 16, at Chimacum.
