Coming off an inspired loss when the Wolves went toe-to-toe with top ranked King’s, the Coupeville volleyball team stumbled 3-2 at home to Granite Falls Thursday.
The Wolves scraped by the Tigers 26-24, 26-24 in the first two games, then dropped the next three 7-25, 16-25, 13-15. It was Coupeville’s first loss this season to a team with a lower record.
The Wolves are now 5-4 in league and 6-4 overall. Granite Falls is 3-6. The win lifted the Tigers into fifth place in the Cascade Conference, one spot below the Wolves.
