The Coupeville Town Marshal’s Office responded to the following calls:

Monday, May 5

5:48 p.m., a caller at South Main Street and State Highway 20 reported a dead deer blocking the road.

Tuesday, May 6

5:18 p.m., a caller reported a car parked at Northeast Front Street and North Main Street with a dog locked inside and all the windows rolled up.

Thursday, May 8

6:12 p.m., a caller on South Main Street reported that he let a male and female, who were currently living in a tent at Rhododendron Park, inside his home to give them something to eat, and after he went to use the bathroom, he came to find they were gone and had taken his computer.

6:54 p.m., a caller advised that a woman was in the parking lot at Whidbey General Hospital trying to kill bedbugs in her car with tweezers.

Friday, May 9

10:52 a.m., an abandoned vehicle was reported at South Ebey Road and Hill Road.

4:36 p.m., a caller reported that their neighbor called them to say someone was staying in their empty house on South Main Street.

Saturday, May 10

7:34 a.m., a tow was requested for an abandoned vehicle on Northwest Front Street near the wharf.

12:48 p.m., an iPhone was found at Coupeville Wharf and turned in to police.

5:02 p.m., a caller on Northwest Alexander Street reported that money was turned in that dropped from a car and was put into their safe for holding.

10:23 p.m., a caller reported someone was burning furniture in their front yard on Southwest Terry Road.

Sunday, May 11

8:19 a.m., a caller was trying to get a hold of the police, who found her daughter’s phone the day before, because they are trying to leave town.

3:40 p.m., a caller at Island County Jail reported a person called them more than 15 times making threats and asking questions about the caller’s family.
