Adam Roberts, 26, of Puyallup, died May 2, 2003, in Eatonville. He was born Aug. 21, 1976, at Lemoore Naval Air Station, Calif. He attended Olympic High School and graduated in 1994; after graduation, Adam joined the U.S. Air Force. He married Carla A. Pavlicek Nov. 10, 1997. During his four years of active duty service, he distinguished himself and earned multiple awards and decorations.
He was a third generation Security Forces member and attained the rank of technical sergeant as a U.S. Air Force Raven. He served in Operation Southern Watch, and recently participated in Operation Enduring Freedom/Noble Eagle. Adam assisted in repatriating MIA/KIA remains from the Vietnam War. He was recently employed by Boeing Company as a security specialist.
Adam enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He found great pleasure in building and driving cars. Serving as a role model, he is an inspiration to his brothers and nephews. He was dedicated to his country and would offer a helping hand to anyone in need. Adam’s love for life was only surpassed by his love for his wife.
Adam will continue to be deeply loved and remembered by his loving wife, Carla; his parents Denise M. and Thomas P. Barnes; Neil R. and Norma G. Roberts of Oak Harbor; step-father Joseph Jones; brothers Kyle T. Roberts of Oak Harbor, and Learnord Chad Roberts-Rodarmel; sister Sylvia Kelli Roberts; grandparents Larry M. and Suzanne M. Rodrigue; Mary Monica Roberts; great-grandmother Frances Selvester and many extended family and friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at noon Thursday, May 8, at Grace Community Church, 1320 Auburn Way S., Auburn. Immediately following the service, all are invited to military honors at Mount Tahoma National Cemetery and a reception at Grace Community Church. Arrangements by Price Helton Funeral Home.
