Alberta Lure Hall

Alberta Lure Hall, 75, of Oak Harbor, passed away peacefully on Nov. 23, 2008 surrounded by family after her courageous battle with cancer. She was born in Bloomfield, Neb., on May 10, 1933. Alberta moved to Fresno, Calif., in 1962 where she met her husband Dave. Together they raised three children and resided in Fresno for 37 years.

In 2000 Alberta and Dave moved to the Pacific Northwest where they settled in Oak Harbor. They were captivated by the beautiful surroundings and island living which brought Alberta closer to her two sisters.

To be around Alberta was a joy and blessing. Family and friends that were apart of Alberta’s life were always touched by her unconditional love and zest for life. Her care and concern was evident through her volunteer work for the American Cancer Society. She was quite a lady!

She is survived by her husband Dave Hall of 45 years, daughter Kelly and husband Joseph Limata, son Jeff and wife Michelle, her beautiful grandchildren Kyler and Ian and another blessing on the way. Alberta was preceded in death by her son Greg. She leaves behind two sisters, Margie and Ina Mae, extended family and many wonderful friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, St. Jude’s Hospital, or a charity of your choice.

You were the best wife and mother that anyone could wish for. Rest now with God. We will see you again some day, and what a joyous day that will be!

Burley Funeral Chapel, Oak Harbor, is entrusted with arrangements.
