Alice M. Pitcher, formerly of Oak Harbor, passed away in her sleep on June 2 in San Leandro, Calif., after a courageous fight against cancer.

She was preceded in passing by her husband, Thomas J. Pitcher, a retired chief petty officer.

She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Thomas and Dorothy Hallinan Jr. of Peabody, Mass.; her loving daughter, Ellen L. Shark of Oakland, Calif.; her son, Thomas J. Pitcher Jr. of Everett; and her grandchildren, Bryan, Brett and Brittany Albano of San Ramon, Calif., and Allie J. Pitcher of Everett.
