Arnold Glenn Little, beloved father and brother, peacefully passed away in Oak Harbor on Jan. 28, 2008, at the age of 77 after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be laid to rest at the Maple Leaf Cemetery in Oak Harbor on Monday, Feb. 18, at 11 a.m. A small Celebration of Life reception will be held at the VFW Post 7392 immediately afterwards.
Arnold was a Korean War veteran, serving his country with pride, being honorably discharged. Having served a term as Post commander, he remained an active member of VFW Post 7392 for 35 years. He will always be remembered by his loving children and many friends for his contagious sense of humor, and as an avid outdoorsman who dearly loved to fish.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Donna Christiansen of Fort Frances, Ontario and Margaret (Peg) Pound of International Falls, Minn.; his parents, Archie and Alice Little; three brothers, Everett, Donald and Frank, and a sister, Matilda Little Freden.
We celebrate his life and remember him fondly in his absence, but his legacy remains through his two brothers, Ronald and Delbert Little of International Falls; and his children, Dawn Heinsohn of Highlands, Texas, Karen Langton of Cabo, Mexico, Rose Arroyo of West Covina, Calif., Robert Little of Oak Harbor, Rita Burrell of Issaquah, Scott Pound of Orting, and Kittie Gearheart of Marysville, Wash. He has 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
