Barbara (Haas) Logan: May 4, 1936 – June 11, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce that Barbara passed away peacefully at the age of 88 years surrounded by family members on June 11, 2024 in Lynden, WA.

Born in Bayonne, NJ on May 4, 1936 to Andrew and Evelyn Haas, Barbara grew up as an only child and spent many happy childhood hours at the fire station where her grandfather took care of the station mascots – Dalmatians.

It was in her senior year at Bayonne High School that she decided to become a nurse. She received a scholarship to attend Bayonne Hospital School of Nursing, a 3 year program and graduated in 1957. In addition to her family, it was one of her proudest achievements and greatest passions. On her first day in the hospital as a nurse graduate, she met her future husband.

Barb married Arthur G. Logan on July 11, 1959 and shared 65 years of wonderful marriage. They raised their 4 children (Susan/Gordie, Mark/Allyson, Tom/Debbie and Debby/Doug), in Ringwood, NJ, Summerland BC, Coupeville, WA and Cheney, WA. She took great pride in her family including 5 grandchildren. Barbara was preceded in death by Art’s passing in 2020.

Barbara worked a variety of jobs and volunteer positions including nurse, librarian, and paraeducator. She enjoyed visits with family and friends, reading, watching TV crime shows, and family vacations.

A special thank you for the care she received from Christian Health Care Center staff in Lynden, WA.

She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed.
