Joined by her family one last time, Betty Jenné’s light was gently extinguished on March 31, 2012, in Coupeville, Wash. Born Feb. 21, 1934, in Coupeville in 1934, Betty graduated from Coupeville High School in 1952 and dedicated her life to serving her family and community in both Coupeville and Mount Vernon. Betty loved music and dancing almost as much as her family and early in her life could often be found cutting a rug to The Glen Miller Orchestra records at the Coupeville Recreation Hall on a Saturday night.
She will be remembered as a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, aunt and friend, who always provided a caring shoulder for those she loved. Betty is survived by her sister, Vivian Fisher; son, Brian Jenné (Marjorie); daughter, Lisa Jenné-Hoagland (Jim); longtime family friends Sigrid and Steve Barnett; the true loves of her life, granddaughter Aleece Jenné and grandsons Tyler Jenné and Jacob Hoagland; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, April 14, at the site of one of her favorite activities; The Coupeville Recreation Hall, 901 N. Alexander Street, Coupeville, WA 98239, from 1 to 4 p.m. Friends and family are encouraged to share memories and condolences at www.wallinfuneralhome.com.
