Captain Robert Fraser USN: June 23, 1931 – April 14, 2024

Captain Robert(Bob) E. Fraser USN (retired) was born June 23, 1931 in South Dakota to Don and Celia Fraser. At an early age his family moved to southern California. In his teen years Bob worked as a lifeguard and farmhand, later graduating from college and joining the Navy.

He proudly served 32 years in the Navy. It was said of Bob by his contemporaries that he was “born to be a pilot”.

Bob was a member of the Association of Naval Aviators, the Navy League, the Rotary Club of Oak Harbor and the Whidbey Presbyterian Church.

Bob passed away peacefully at the age of 92 on April 14th, 2024. Bob is survived by his wife Donna (of 71 years) and two children Lori Stewart (Jim) and Robert (Cheryl) and 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. His son Michael predeceased him.
