Connie D. McMurdo, 55, of Oak Harbor, passed away June 25, 2008, at her home, surrounded by loved ones. She was born Sept. 15, 1952, in Albany, Calif., to Milton and Maxine (Lubke) Noble. On Feb. 19, 1983, Connie married George R. McMurdo in Richmond, Calif. She was a Navy wife for 21 years.
Connie worked at Upchurch Scientific in Oak Harbor. The continued loving support of her coworkers is greatly appreciated by her family. They would also like to thank the Medical Ambulatory Care (MAC) Unit at Whidbey General Hospital.
Connie was an avid Mariners fan. She enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, spoiling them as best she could. Connie loved everyone, taking in her kids’ friends as if they were her own. She was active in the Humane Society, St. Jude’s, the American Cancer Society and Children’s Hospital.
Connie is survived by her husband, George McMurdo of Oak Harbor; children, Shawn McMurdo of Oak Harbor, Shane (Jessaca) McMurdo of Lynnwood, and Shannon (Chad) Rodarmel of Oak Harbor; grandchildren Tristen, Nathan, Jacob, Peyton, and Rhygan McMurdo, with Ayden McMurdo on the way; mother Maxine (Jack) Murphy of Oak Harbor; brother Gary Reyes of California; and dog Jasmine at home.
Connie was preceded in death by her father and brother, Milton.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Burley Funeral Chapel in Oak Harbor.
