Lorrene DeFuentes died March 23, 2003, at Whidbey Island Manor, Oak Harbor, Washington. She was married to Anthony S. DeFuentes, Jr. in Yuma, Ariz., on Jan. 1, 1946. She and Tony were happily married for 57 years. Lorrene was an avid bowler and golfer for many years. Tony’s career as an air traffic controller brought them to Oak Harbor in 1962.

Lorrene DeFuentes is survived by her husband Tony at the family home, Oak Harbor and by one brother Gene Ginn of Eugene, Ore.

Mrs. DeFuentes requested no formal funeral services be conducted. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Cremation was entrusted to Burley Funeral Chapel, Oak Harbor, Washington.
