Denise Dawn Yocom, 44, of Oak Harbor, died at Whidbey General Hospital on March 27, 2009.

Denise was born in Eureka, Calif., on March 7, 1965. She attended schools in Eureka and graduated from Eureka High School. She resided in Humboldt County for many years, moving to Oak Harbor in 2006. She had been married to William Yocom. Denise loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Denise is survived by her four children: Natasha Smith (Jimmie) of Carson City, Nev., Brandon Yocom of Redding, Calif., and Garrett and James Barker, both of Oak Harbor; two grandchildren, Michelle and Jamie Smith; her father, Archie Coombes of Redding; two sisters, Deanna Cottone (Michael) of Weaverville, Calif., and Leslie Meade (Darren) of Red Bluff, Calif., and Rodney Coombes of Crescent City, Calif.; also, numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. She is also survived by her significant other, Kenny Edwards of Oak Harbor. She was preceded in death by a sister, Debra Conaboy and by her mother, Barbara Lowrey.
