Dennis Jennerjohn was born on November 22, 1942 in Oak Harbor, Washington to Fred Jennerjohn and Bertha Borchart. Dennis had three siblings, Robert, Grace, and Paul. Dennis grew up with his three siblings here in Oak Harbor. He attended Oak Harbor High School and graduated in 1961.
Dennis joined the Air Force right after he graduated from high school and served four years until his honorable discharge. He worked for the Navy fueling aircrafts and jets. For some time, he also wore the hat of a logger. His last but not least job, he worked for the Island County road department and retired after 22 years. He was very liked by his co-workers. His co-workers threw him a huge retirement party! Some of his gifts were comical, but also a reminder of how strong he was.
Dennis met his wife, Janet in 1968. They fell in love and four years later married. Dennis loved Janet very much. He was a devoted husband. Through the good times and tough times, Dennis had been the voice of reason for the family. Dennis was a very quiet man, but when he spoke, people listened. Dennis loved his family very much! He enjoyed spending time with them as well as maintaining his lawn, enjoyed traveling in this motorhome with the family. He loved going to the movies. He watched every Star Wars movie with his beloved daughter Varyl.
Dennis passed away on November 6, 2021. He was 78 years old. He is survived by his wife, Janet Jennerjohn, daughter, Varyl Yvonne, and his brother, Paul Jennerjohn. He is survived by a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Dennis was preceded by one daughter, Heidi who passed away in 1973 and one son, John Curtis who passed away in 1990; his brother, Robert Jennerjohn and sister, Grace also preceded.
A funeral service for Dennis will take place on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 1PM at Wallin-Stucky Funeral Home, 1811 NE 16 th Avenue, Oak Harbor, Washington. All who knew Dennis Jennerjohn are
