Our beloved Derrick Kenney, born May 25, 1981 in Renton, passed away suddenly on Dec. 7, 2008. Derrick lived, loved and laughed. He touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He loved spending time with family and friends, and was a jack-of-all-trades. Derrick was always ready to lend a hand or a smile. His loving and giving personality will be sorely missed. He was our prince. Derrick often said, “Go big or go home.”

Derrick is survived by his father Dan Kenney, mother Lisa Deckwa, siblings Ryan Kenney, Courtnie and Ty Deckwa, loving fiance Sheena Axmaker, unborn daughter Shania Dee Kenney, grandparents Martin and Sylvia Kenney, Jack Haymes, Gene and Ethel Walters as well as multiple aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of dear friends.

A viewing occurred Dec. 12 at Bauer Funeral Chapel; 701 First Street, Snohomish, WA 98290. Funeral and Memorial Service will be held Saturday Dec. 13, at 1 p.m. with a celebration of Derrick’s life following at the Waltz building, 116 Ave B.
