Earl M. Odion Jr., aka Mr. Wonderful, arrived on April 10, 1925, and left us on May 6, 2009, in the presence of his family.

He lived a life with love and extraordinary devotion to his wife and family. He exemplified grace in the face of aging, with generosity of spirit, and the gift of a smile and humor for all he meet. When asked “how are you,” his consistent reply was, “better than excellent.” You truly were “Mr. Wonderful.” We will miss you.

He is survived by his wife Nancy, currently residing at Careage of Whidbey; his sons and daughters, Byron and Raven Odion (Whidbey Island), and Felix and Gloria Odion (Placerville, Calif.); his grandchildren, Kyle and Jessica Odion and their son Wyatt (Vancouver, Wash.) and Zackery and Erika Odion and their children Ava Marie and Haakon (Pateros, Wash.)

A memorial is planned in Oak Harbor at his former residence, Summerhill Assisted Living, at 165 SW Sixth St. on May 31, 2009, at 1 p.m.
