Edie Diane Heggenes passed away Sunday, April 27, 2008, in the loving care of her parents, Jason & Valerie Heggenes, after an all too brief life. She was born at home on April 10, 2008.
Edie was much anticipated and loved. She brought an immediate joy to our lives, despite her unforeseen and grave condition. She was a beautiful, peaceful soul. Her precious little body, sweet smell, and quiet demeanor will be forever missed. Edie overcame many odds to be with us for as long as she was. Her short existence has reaffirmed how precious life is, and how there is no love like that for your children.
She was loved and will be missed by many, including her parents, her big sister Freja Adele Heggenes, grandparents Mick and Christy Heggenes (Clinton, Wash.), Judy Keller (Freeland, Wash.), Bob Keller and K-Lynn Cameron (Ft. Collins, Colo.), aunties and uncles Diane and Jason Ripper (Bellingham, Wash.), Rik Keller and Valerie Calegari (Sacramento, Calif.), Josh Heggenes (Bangor, Maine), Jacob and Ruth Heggenes (Clinton, Wash.), and Amy and Dave Howard (Bonney Lake, Wash.), and cousins Phineas and June Ripper, Rowan & Una Keller, and Bethany Heggenes.
We would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time. Our bodies have been nourished by your food and our beings have been comforted by your love.
A special thanks to our families, Cynthia Jaffe and Crystal Ogle, the EMT staff of Whidbey General, Dr. Robert Wagner, the doctors and nursing staff at Providence NICU, Home Health Care and Hospice, and Burley Funeral Chapel for all your support and guidance.
