Edna Ruth Scheeler, age 70, of Oak Harbor, died Nov. 4, 2012 in Anacortes. She was born Dec. 5, 1941 in Douglas, Ga. She graduated from Coffee County High School in 1959.
She moved to Jacksonville, Fla. where she met her beloved husband Robert. They were married Jan. 1, 1961 and moved to California. Due to Robert’s career in the Navy they traveled all over the world. The Philippines, Japan, San Diego, Maryland and Florida are just some of the places they lived. Their last station was Oak Harbor in 1974 and remained there after retirement.
Edna worked at the Navy Exchange in dry cleaning for about 12 years.
She is survived by her beloved husband Robert, of 51 years, two daughters Sheryl (Don) Harrod and Roxan Poissant, six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Perdue, two sisters and four brothers.
Memorial service is 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30 at Burley Funeral Chapel.
