Edwin Eugene Eisner

Edwin Eugene Eisner, 52, of Oak Harbor, passed away April 21, 2008, surrounded by family after a lengthy illness.

Mr. Eisner was born in Fresno, Calif., on Oct. 22, 1954, to Eugene Eisner and Charlene (Sawyer) Eisner. He moved with his family to Oak Harbor at the age of 10, and attended Oak Harbor schools. Ed had been a resident of Hamilton, Mont., for the past 15 years. He was an ardent outdoorsman, and loved fishing and hunting.

Ed is survived by his father, Gene Eisner, of Los Banos, Calif.; four sisters, Susie Coffin and husband Jim and Covina O’Brien and husband Tim, all of Oak Harbor, Patty Eisner of Guemes Island, and Nancy Nelson and husband Dan of Los Banos; one brother, Joe Eisner of Oak Harbor; also, numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial graveside service was held April 25 at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Dr. Benjamin Norris officiating. Arrangements are through Whidbey Memorial Funeral and Cremation Service, Inc., 746 NE Midway Blvd.
