Elsie Vera (Wright) Morgan, 89, a resident of Coupeville, Wash., passed away peacefully in her home on Tuesday, May 13, 2014.
Elsie was born in Scalp Level, Pa., on June 27, 1924, the daughter of Francis Thomas and Sarah Ann (Phillips) Wright, both deceased.
On March 16, 1947 she married Willard Ulysses Morgan. He preceded her in death.
Elsie enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and was very active in her church, Oak Harbor United Methodist, for approximately 25 years.
Elsie is survived by two sons, Bruce Wayne and his wife, Patricia Ann (Sherwood) Morgan, of Anacortes, Wash., and Jeffrey Philip (J.P.), of Greenbank, Wash.; daughter-in-law, Christine Ann (Haltvick), of Albany, Ohio; her brother, Robert Edward and his wife Elizabeth (Miller) Wright, of Smithtown, N.Y.; sister-in-law, Helen V. (Hingula) Wright, of Colorado; grandchildren, Candice Fawn (Morgan) and William Leon Hoffman, of Woodbridge, Va., Kevin Daniel Morgan, of St. Petersburg, Fla., Amber Nicole (Morgan) and Ted Mason, of Fredericksburg, Va., and Alyssa Marie Morgan, of Thurmont, Md.; two great-grandchildren, Braeden Mason, of Fredericksburg, Va.; and Alyssa Brianne Morgan, of St, Petersburg, Fla.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Willard Ulysses Morgan; son, Dennis Lee Morgan; parents, Francis and Sarah Wright; brothers and sisters, George Henry, Ethel May, Francis Thomas, Doris Evelyn, Orville, Agnes, Wilbur Carmania, Francis Curnard, Lillian and Gladys.
