Eugene Mullkoff, 89, passed away August 21, 2010. He was born Nov. 15, 1920, in Hamtramck, Mich., to Leo and Anna Mullkoff. Gene was a career naval officer who retired from the Navy in 1964. After retirement Gene attended Seattle University and received a Masters Degree in Philosophy.
Gene continued to pursue additional interests at Everett Community College, taking classes in welding and electronics which resulted in a second career at Fluke’s in Everett.
Gene retired from Fluke at age 69 as an Electronics Quality Technician.
One of Gene and Peggy’s lifelong dreams was to build a home on Whidbey Island overlooking Puget Sound. They purchased a beautiful lot on the west side of the island and worked with an architect to design a home they both loved and shared until their final days.
Gene is survived by his five children, David Mullkoff, Roberta Mullkoff, Jill Rosell, Roxanne Bernier and Camille Langevien; his brother Arthur Mullkoff; and 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife of 65 years Marion (Peggy) Mullkoff.
He was loved and will be missed by all. Arrangements have been made by Burley Funeral Chapel in Oak Harbor.
