Everett J Bourne, 84, passed away Oct. 16, 2009 in Virginia. He was born in Oklahoma and he and his wife lived in Wichita, Kansas for more than 40 years and raised their family there. He moved to Oak Harbor in 2001 after the death of his wife.
He was a lifelong member of the Church of the Nazarene and was active in church in Oak Harbor. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Wichita. He and his wife were sales leaders in Shaklee. In 2007, he moved to Virginia and remained there until his death.
He is survived by children Marilyn Schmidt of Oak Hill, Va., and Joyce Burnett and Donna Hill, both of Nampa, Idaho; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Roselle; his parents and siblings.
Burial will be at RestHaven Cemetery, Wichita, Kan. Memorial donations may be made to Vitas Hospice Charitable Fund, 1604 Spring Hill Rd., Suite 450, Vienna, VA 22182 in memory of Everett Bourne.
