Florence Iola Scott, a resident of Home Place in Oak Harbor, passed away Aug. 18, 2002.
Florence was born April 20, 1908, in Foley, Minn., to Charley and Edith Scott (Young).
She is survived by a daughter, Elease McCallum of Seattle; a son, Eldon McCallum of Stanton, Calif.; grandchildren Sandy Hillhouse of Kent, Darrell Hillhouse of Seattle, Philip Hillhouse of Snohomish County, Darlene Dando and husband Joe of Oak Harbor, Elgin Meyers Jr. of Burlington, Carol Biggerstaff and husband Charles of Burlington, and Linda McCallum, Larry McCallum and Carol McCallum, all of California. Numerous great- and great-greatgrandchildren also survive.
Florence lived most of her years in the Seattle area preaching in missions and much needed areas. She was also a housekeeper for several Seattle doctors. She moved to the Oak Harbor area in 1998 where she loved to take rides and look at the scenery. She was one that loved the simple things in life.
She was loved and will be missed by her family and friends. Her faith was very strong so the family knows she is resting in a much better place.
She was preceded in death by a daughter Doris and a son Milton, her parents and all siblings.
Cremation arrangements were by Burley Funeral Chapel. Donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
