Frances Mary Grant, 75, died Aug. 24, 2003, at Whidbey General Hospital in Coupeville. She was born in Brooklawn, N.J., Feb. 11, 1928 to Harry and Sally (Taylor) Rensimer.
Frances contracted polio at the age of 16 and was a determined polio survivor. She married Stephen E. Grant April 8, 1960. Frances, or Nana, as she was known, was a very beloved mother and grandmother. She had been a resident of Oak Harbor for 48 years.
Three children survive Frances: Michael (Lora) Grant of Oak Harbor; David (Miriam) Grant of Lynnwood; and Linda LeCompte of Tacoma. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, Charity, Michael II, Roxanne, Ryan, Casey, Sarah and Chase and by three great-grandchildren: Eliza, Wyatt and Joesy.
Graveside services will be held at Sunnyside Cemetery, Coupeville, Saturday, Aug. 30, at 3 p.m., with Pastor David Lura officiating. Funeral arrangements and cremation are under the direction of Burley Funeral Chapel, Oak Harbor.
