Gabe R. “Gabe” Jaramillo, 26, died July 21, 2005 at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was born July 10, 1979 in Othello, Wash. to Ignacio and Yolanda Garcia Jaramillo.
Gabe spent his early years in the Moses Lake area, but at the age of 10 he and his family moved to Oak Harbor, where he completed school, graduating in 1997. He was a spirited young man with a beautiful heart. He loved adventure and he loved the rush of life.
In 2002 Gabe met Crystal Parks, the love of his life. They were married in 2003 and were blessed with the birth of their son Elijah that same year. It was then that Gabe learned fatherhood, responsibility and matured. His love for his son and his wife gave him more to live for and strive for. His goals became purposeful and his heart grew bigger. He loved being a father and he loved his wife with all of his heart. Being a family man agreed with him. His change of heart and life helped his love for his mother to grow also.
Gabe was employed by Tri County Truss as a truss builder. He loved his work and was given a number of awards for his dedication and abilities. He was not afraid of work. He had worked all shifts offered by Tri County. His many friends there will miss him.
Gabe is survived by his wife of just 2 years Crystal and their two-year-old son Elijah at the family home in Oak Harbor. He also leaves his mother, Yolanda Jaramillo, brothers Isaac, Shahn and David Jaramillo and sister Jordan Jaramillo and a very special aunt and uncle, Dina and Ernie DeLuna.
A time for visiting Gabe and some of the family is offered at Burley Funeral Chapel on Wednesday July 27 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Services for Gabe will be Thursday July 28, at 2 p.m. at the Southern Baptist Church on SW 6th Avenue in Oak Harbor with a graveside service to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
