Gary S. Lusby of Oak Harbor passed away Sept. 23 at Whidbey General Hospital. He was 69 years old.

Gary was born on Oct. 18, 1940 in Prince Frederick, Md. He worked as a jet engine mechanic in the U.S. Air Force. He loved to play the guitar and sing. He had a band in Maryland and he loved to play the music of Elvis and Johnny Cash.

Gary is survived by his wife Sandra J. Lusby; sons Michael A. Lusby and Wade S. Lusby; daughters Uthai Lusby and Lisa Lusby; parents Virginia and Guy Lusby; and four grandchildren.

Gary’s ashes will be scattered in the ocean during a private ceremony.
