Gertrude Sullivan

Gertrude (Lampers) Sullivan, 75, was born Jan. 24, 1938, in Oak Harbor. She died Oct. 30, 2013.

She graduated from Oak Harbor Christian School, then on to high school, graduating with the class of 1957 and marrying Pat Sullivan in the same year.

Together, they had three children: Dan, Rod and Carla; four grandchildren: Jesica, Stephany, Dallas and Jake; and three great-grandchildren.

Gertrude was a homemaker and spent time as a waitress at Chimes, Tie & Cafe; Golden Anchor in Kodiak, Alaska; and Carry’s Cafe in Southern Pines, N.C.

She is survived by her husband Pat and children; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; four sisters: Ann Vandepol, Nell Donovan, Theresa Faber and Myrtle Balster; and two brothers: Martin Lampers of Oak Harbor and Calvin Lampers of Olympia.

A wake will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Sierra Country Club off of Libbey Road near Coupeville.
