A memorial service for Jill Rapp’s daughter, Heather, will be held Sunday, Aug. 11 at 2 p.m., at the Best Western CottonTree Inn, Riverside Drive, Mount Vernon. A reception will follow at the Mermaid Inn, 6630 Bayview Edison Road.

Heather Dyanne Rapp was born June 13, 1982, in Georgetown, Texas, a small suburb of Austin. Heather died Aug. 1, 2002.

A memorial fund has been established at Skagit State Bank in Heather Rapp’s name.
