Herbert Lee Hildebrandt, Jr., died in Coupeville on Jan. 5, 2012. Herb was born in Seattle on Oct. 18, 1926, to Herbert Lee Sr. and Ruth Leah Hildebrandt.

During his youth he lived in Coupeville in the summer months and in Seattle during the winter months. Herb returned to Coupeville after retirement. Herb was a master bowler and enjoyed golf and fishing with his friends and family. He was preceded in death by his sister Virginia Munn of Coupeville. He is survived by his two sisters, Grace King of Coupeville and Ruth Johnson of Molokai, Hawaii.

Herb was fondly known as “Uncle Herbie” to his many nieces and nephews. He will be missed by his family and friends. A private remembrance is planned at a later date. Donations may be made in his name to the Coupeville Lions Club at PO Box 473, Coupeville, WA 98239, or www.coupevillelions.org.
