Hilda Maxine Love, age 88, of Oak Harbor, died on Nov. 25, 2009. She was born on April 20, 1921 in Mountain View, Mo., to Frank Durland and Susan Pearl (Lawrence) Shaver.

On June 10, 1972, Maxine married Raymond Howard Love in La Mirada, Calif. Together, they moved to Whidbey Island from Whittier, Calif., in the fall of 1980.

Mrs. Love was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond.

She is survived by her children: daughters Judy Frisbie of Oak Harbor and Barbara Denton of Oregon; and son Donald Boswell of Oak Harbor; also eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A graveside memorial service will be held at Maple Leaf Cemetery on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 at 1 p.m., followed by a memorial gathering at Regency on Whidbey at 2 p.m. Burley Funeral Chapel in Oak Harbor has been entrusted with arrangements.
