Ila R. Miller

Ila R. Miller, 88, formerly of Oak Harbor, Wash., passed away peacefully Friday, April 11, 2014.

She was born on Feb. 28, 1926 in Santa Barbara, Calif. Ila graduated from Banning High School in 1944 and received her nursing degree in 1948­­­­­­­­­. She married the late John V. Yates in 1949 and resided in Costa Mesa, Calif., till John’s death in 1977.

Ila married John A. Miller in 1979 and relocated to Oak Harbor, Wash., upon his retirement.

They spent 10 years in Washington before the RV bug got them and eventually resettled in Filer, Idaho.

Ila was a member of the Whidbey Whirlers and Lady Elks in Oak Harbor and enjoyed gardening and fishing.

Ila is survived by four children, Gail Delfosse, of Ocean Park, Wash., Lynn Cushway, of Oak Harbor, Wash., and Carla Young and Karen Yates, of Challis, Idaho. She is also survived by three grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
