James Benton Allen, 98, died of natural causes at home in Coupeville where he had lived for 33 years. He was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army Air Corps. He had a long career in law enforcement including a time as a California highway patrolman.

Amateur radio was a lifelong passion that he pursued up until his passing.

He is survived by his daughters, Renee Corry (Lane) and June Allen.

He was loved by all and is missed by all.
