James Joyce, AKA Darq Stainz, author of the 5-star rated book, The Change, died at home in Seattle, WA. A time and world traveler who explored 150 countries, he was a true patriot who served his country in Vietnam and Korea. His broad experi ence of life in other countries prompted him to often declare his love and respect for the USA, even as a work-in-progress currently overtaken by its enemies within.
Darq Stainz grew up in West Memphis, Arkansas, raised by his beloved paternal grandparents, Simon and Jinnie Joyce, with younger cousins, Frank and Junior, his truest kindred spirits. A gifted athlete and brilliant scholar of Wonder High School, and far beyond, he had an exceptional curiosity, wanderlust, and “joi de vivre” for which he’ll always be remembered.
His was the family of Man and all beings were his brothers and sisters. Recognized for his energy, strength, kindness and generosity, he is survived by his adoring wife of 44 years, Francie Casebeer, and the spirits of the departed elders in that clan who loved him so. Children also loved him for always demonstrating his own childlike wonder, fun, and awe.
