Janeah Dawn Goheen, 17, a lifetime Oak Harbor resident, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013, as a result of an auto collision near Anacortes.
Janeah was born on Nov. 30, 1995, in Mount Vernon, to Jim and Debbie (Bomley) Goheen. She attended Oak Harbor schools, and was currently attending Skagit Valley College in the Running Start program.
Janeah enjoyed listening to music, singing, playing guitar, hanging out with her friends, and loved her dogs Zoe and Charlie.
She attended Living Word Church in Oak Harbor, and was actively involved in leading worship and playing guitar there.
Janeah is survived by her parents, Jim and Debbie Goheen, of Oak Harbor; her sisters, including her twin Janesah, of Oak Harbor; Janielle Whittingham and husband Ben and nephews Quentin, Colin and niece Sophia, of Oak Harbor, and Joylyn Goheen, of Oak Harbor; grandmother Ethel Bomley, of Nez Perce, Idaho; grandparents Gordon and LaVelle Goheen, of Salem, Ore.; grandmother Alice Goheen, of Wilsonville, Ore.; and other numerous relatives.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Jessica Goheen Thorn, on May 30, 2008 and by her grandfather Eldon Bomley on Nov. 23, 2010.
Visitation was 3-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2013, at Life Church, 1767 NE Regatta, Oak Harbor.
A memorial service is being planned and will be announced in the near future. Memorial donations are suggested to the Goheen Family Fund at any Whidbey Island Bank branch.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Oak Harbor High School.
