Janesah Danae Goheen, 17, lifetime Oak Harbor resident, passed away on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013, as a result of a brain injury caused by an auto collision on Oct. 31 near Anacortes.
Janesah was born on Nov. 30, 1995, in Mount Vernon to Jim and Debbie (Bomley) Goheen. She attended Oak Harbor schools and was preparing to graduate.
Janesah enjoyed listening to music, singing, dancing, drawing, playing the piano, hanging out with her friends and being with her family. She attended Living Word Church in Oak Harbor and was actively involved in leading worship and playing the piano there.
Janesah is survived by her parents, Jim and Debbie Goheen of Oak Harbor; her sister Janielle Whittingham and husband Ben and nephews Quentin, Colin and niece Sophia of Oak Harbor; sister Joylyn Goheen of Oak Harbor; grandmother Ethel Bomley of Nez Perce, Idaho; grandparents Gordon and LaVelle Goheen of Salem, Ore.; grandmother Alice Goheen of Wilsonville, Ore.; and other numerous relatives. She was preceded in death by her twin sister Janeah Goheen on Oct. 31, 2013; her sister Jessica Goheen Thorn on May 30, 2008, and her grandfather Eldon Bomley on Nov. 23, 2010. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Oak Harbor High School.
