Johannes Poos, 77, a resident of Oak Harbor, passed away at his home on Monday, June 11, 2007.

He was born Nov. 9, 1929, in St. Toenis, Germany. Johannes was a master chef and he was trained in both Germany and France. He owned his own pastry shop for 31 years.

He is survived by his wife Hildegard, three sons and two grandsons.

A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, June 16, at 11 a.m. at the St. Augustine Catholic Church in Oak Harbor with Father Jerome Kienzle as Celebrant. The family has asked that instead of flowers, memorial donations be made to the Catholic Community Services of Western Washington (1-877-870-1582).

Cremation was under the direction of Lemley Chapel, Sedro-Woolley.
