Karl F. Braun, Jr, age 72, of Kingsland, Georgia, passed away on Monday, Feb. 5, 2018, ending his heroic fight against prolonged health issues.
Karl spent 21 years serving his country in the U.S. Navy, including time with VAQ-138 at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station. Karl loved his music, singing in church choirs and barbershop choruses. Family was special to Karl and he found much joy in serving others.
Karl leaves behind his wife, Joyce; daughters Deborah (Tom) Stewart and Christine (Shaun) Walling; a son John Choquette; grandchildren, Ashley (Chris) Lowdenslager, Taylor Stewart, Jacob Stewart and Alexis Guy; a great granddaughter, Aubree Lowdenslager; and two sisters, Judy (Bob) Curry and Bette (Jim) Schauer. Karl was preceded in death by his parents, Karl Sr. and Frieda Krimel Braun, and a sister, Helen (Dick) Cerney.
