Linda Kay Fritsch died peacefully Sept. 24, 2016, in Seattle, Wash., at the age of 60.

Linda, the third of four children, was born March 14, 1956, in Atlantic City, N.J., to Cramer and Elsie (Hendrix) Wilborn.

She is survived by her husband of 39 years, David Fritsch of Bremerton, Wash.; son Jonathan Fritsch (Vanessa) of Vaughn, Wash.; daughter Rebecca Cain (Michael) of Bremerton, Wash.; brother Michael Wilborn of Woodinville, Wash.; sister Katherine X. Barnes (David) of Pensacola, Fla.; and brother David Wilborn (Jessica Prince) of Mercer Island, Wash.; as well as seven grandchildren.

Linda graduated from Oak Harbor High School in 1974, and graduated from the University of Washington in 1978 with a degree in sociology.

David was a commissioned ensign in the United States Navy and they began years of travel living in New London, Conn.; Pearl City, Hawaii; Charleston, S.C.; Virginia Beach, Va.; and, finally, Bremerton, Wash., in 1984. As a navy wife Linda had numerous jobs which were often short-lived because of transfers. After arriving in Bremerton Linda took a course in banking and began her career working for Navy Federal Credit Union and Kitsap Bank for a combined total of 26 years.

Linda was a member of the board of directors for Kitsap County Residents since Sept. 2016.

Her personal interests over the years included photography, travel, cross stitching, crochet, baking, playing pinochle, dancing, the AWANA program, making memories with grandchildren, church and her relationship with God.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, at Faith Community Bible Church, 3648 W F St, Bremerton, Wash.; with a reception to follow. All are welcome to attend.
